I do know Craig Mazin favors them because he knows the creator, but that makes sense. It'd be nice if it was as pretty as Fade In, but I've not used Fade In much yet. I'm not sure other companies can do much more. With that said, it's still just a basic word processor. With Final Draft the interface is out-dated and I have had versions of it in the past with weird bugs (for example, despite the Duel Dialogue shortcut and button it still couldn't do it - they later fixed the issue). It's about the cost of an Xbox game, but it's a professional tool that so much cheaper than other jobs require. It is probably double the price it's worth, but I bought it years ago at $199, now I just upgrade to the latest ones as they come out so it comes out to about $70 every 3 years or so - which in the end isn't too bad. ![]() I think that Final Draft is a pretty "good" word processor for Screenplays, and it's good because it's the standard.
